Philip House Church is located on the third floor of 2A-2B Fok Lo Estate Road, Kowloon City. It was formerly known as Philip House of Southern Guangdong Lutheran Church. The Lutheran Church in Southern Guangdong originated in Beihai City, Hepu County, Guangdong Province (now part of Guangxi Province). After World War I, the German Breklum Missionary Society appointed Rev. Felix Paulsen to come to China and take over the German mission based in Beihai. Kieller, Gilead Mission, continues to develop the work.

After joining the Chinese Lutheran Church in 1928, it was named the (Southern Guangdong) Lutheran Church. The General Assembly was located in Jiande Garden, Hepu.

When New China was founded in 1949, Pastor Bao was imprisoned for two years. He became blind in his left eye and had insufficient vision in his right eye. After returning to Germany, although he was physically disabled, his love did not diminish. He often said to people: "I still owe the Chinese people a debt of gospel." Therefore, for the sake of the gospel, he organized the "Chinese Prayer Fellowship" in Hamburg in 1959 and planned The "Southern Guangdong Lutheran Church" was reopened in Hong Kong. In 1964, Pastor Debo raised most of the funds in Germany, and with the hard work of local brothers and sisters, he purchased two units on the third floor of 2A-2B Fok Lo Tsuen Road, Kowloon City, which is today's Philip Housse Church, and started to expand the gospel in Hong Kong. The first step in ministry. On January 11, 1967, it was officially registered as a legal society in the name of (Southern Guangdong) Lutheran Church Philip House Co., Ltd. On July 4, 1972, the self-support plan was adopted, and Pastor Liang Shansheng served as the volunteer pastor to continue to preside over the conference affairs and develop the holy work.

Chronology of major events in Philip House Church:

In 1928, joined the Chinese Lutheran Church and was named the Southern Guangdong Lutheran Church.

In 1962, Pastor Leong Sun-sang temporarily borrowed the Wai Yan Kindergarten in Apliu Street, Mong Kok to hold evening gatherings.

In 1962, Pastor Liang Shansheng rented a unit in Ping An Building on Nathan Road as his residence and for Sunday meetings.

In 1964, Pastor Bao Luxun raised most of the funds in Germany, and with the hard work of local brothers and sisters, he purchased the Fok Lo Estate Road Church site in Kowloon City.

On January 11, 1967, the Philip Church of Southern Guangdong Lutheran Church was officially registered as a legal society in the name of a limited company.

The dedication ceremony was held in 1969. Peng Fu supervised the ceremony, and Zeng Jiyue, the chief official of the meeting, assisted in the ceremony.

In 1972, the self-support plan was adopted, and Pastor Liang Shansheng served as the volunteer pastor to continue to preside over the affairs of the conference and develop the holy work.

In 1997, Dr. Luo Yongguang volunteered to assist Jian Sheng Gong and officially served as a consultant pastor in 2013.

Pastor Liang Shansheng passed away on March 19, 2005.
